WBHS Relay for Life Results

Congratulations to the 2009 Vinton Relay For Life and to all the efforts of the teachers, staff, students, parents, and community members who helped to contribute to this year's success. Our goal was $40,000, and as of Saturday we have raised over $60,000—150+ percent of our goal.

We finish fundraising by August for this year's relay. Several teams have additional fundraisers and several school teams have additional monies to turn in. There is the opportunity to raise $67,000 by the August deadline.

Why $67,000? Carolyn Williams, co-chair of the Vinton Relay for Life will be 67 in July, and we are matching a grand for each of her wonderful years! If you still wish to contribute, contact Tracy Lange at Northside High School or Carol Webster at William Byrd High School.
