Coleman named the new assistant principal at Glenvar Elementary
The Roanoke County School Board has selected Lisa Coleman as the new assistant principal at Glenvar Elementary, effective Aug. 12. Coleman replaces Phyllis Satterfield who recently was named the new principal at Masons Cove Elementary.
Coleman first joined Roanoke County Public Schools in 1992 as a teacher at Burlington Elementary School, having previously worked in education for five years. She continued to teach at Burlington Elementary until accepting the assistant principal position at Glenvar Elementary.
Coleman holds a Bachelor’s degree, an elementary education endorsement and a Masters degree from Radford University.
“Lisa has been a wonderful teacher at Burlington Elementary School for many years,” said Roanoke County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lorraine Lange. “I’m pleased she has accepted this new leadership position at Glenvar Elementary,” Dr. Lange added.
