Deeds named assistant principal at NHS
The Roanoke County School Board has named John Michael Deeds as the new assistant principal at Northside High School, effective July 18.
Deeds, who currently is the school’s athletic director, first joined Roanoke County Public Schools in 2006 as a teacher at Northside H.S. He became the school’s athletic director in 2008.
Deeds, a graduate of Cave Spring High School, holds a bachelors degree from James Madison University.
“John Michael has been a fantastic athletic director at Northside High School and I’m pleased he is taking on this new leadership role,” said Roanoke County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lorraine Lange.
