Redding named head basketball coach at Glenvar High School


The Roanoke County School Board has named David Redding as the new head coach for the Glenvar High School boys basketball team.  Redding, a history teacher at Glenvar Middle School, has been an assistant basketball coach at GHS for 11 years.

In addition, the school board named Charles Fasnacht as the new assistant coach for the GHS boys basketball team.  Fasnacht is a graduate of the University of Memphis and at one point worked as an assistant for the Memphis Grizzlies basketball team in the NBA.

“David has been a great assistant coach for the Highlander’s boys basketball team and I’m pleased he will be leading the team next year.  I’m confident he will continue to make Glenvar High School proud,” said principal Joe Hafey.
